Qualyscan® Upright

In vivo verification integrated into upright particle therapy

Qualyscan® Upright brings Positron Emission Tomography (PET) based verification directly into the treatment position, enabling accurate in vivo assess-ment of the delivered dose under real clinical conditions. 

A fully integrated treatment workflow

Part of a unified ecosystem combining:

  • Terapet’s in vivo PET verification system, Qualyscan® Upright

This combination connects planning, treatment and in vivo verification in a single continuous workflow and enabling, for the first time, a truly end-to-end approach to treatment validation in particle therapy. 

During or immediately after irradiation, PET signals from irradiated tissue are acquired in the treatment position, preserving signal integrity and minimizing biological washout. The measured activity distribution is then directly compared with the expectation from the treatment plan, providing independent and quantitative verification of treatment delivery.
