Prof. Alexandru Dasu

Professor in Medical Radiation Physics, Uppsala University | Head of Research and Development at the Skandion Clinic (Uppsala, Sweden)

Alexandru Dasu is a recognized authority in medical physics and particle therapy, with a career spanning clinical leadership and academic research. He is Professor at Uppsala University and serves as Head of Research and Development at the Skandion Clinic, Sweden’s national proton therapy center. Previously serving as Chief Medical Physicist at Skandion (2017–2025), he has also held senior academic roles at Linköping and Umeå Universities. His work focuses on proton therapy, radiobiological modeling, and the clinical integration of advanced dosimetric techniques, contributing to the evolution of precision radiotherapy across Europe.

Medical Director, QuirĂłnsalud Proton Therapy Center (Madrid, Spain)

Raymond Miralbell is a leading radiation oncologist with over 40 years of clinical and academic experience in cancer treatment. Appointed Medical Director of the 1st Protontherapy facility in Spain, the Quirónsalud Proton Therapy Center in Madrid in 2018. Chairman and Professor at the Radiation Oncology Department of the University Hospital of Geneva (2007-2019), and Chairman of the Swiss Proton User’s Group (1997-2007), Prof. Miralbell has played a pivotal role in advancing precision radiotherapy and pediatric oncology, with numerous publications and contributions to international guidelines.
